The best home sauna brand depends on what you’re buying. For infrared cabins on Amazon, we’d start with JNH Lifestyles or Dynamic Saunas, and both are based in Ontario, California. Albott and Homsido sell lower-priced cabins. For portable saunas and blankets, the names are different again. We compared what each brand puts in writing: warranty, power needs, wood and EMF figures.

Our picks by brand

  • JNH Lifestyles: Joyous+ 2-Person. Up to 170Β°F, with a published EMF figure from third-party tests.
  • Dynamic Saunas: Andora 2-Person. Standard 15 amp plug and a 5-year limited warranty.
  • Albott: Albott 1 Person. Hemlock, 7 carbon panels, installs without tools.

How we compared: we haven’t tested these brands’ saunas hands-on and we don’t accept payment for rankings. Company details come from each company’s own site or press materials, product details from their current Amazon listings, and where we couldn’t find something, we say so. How we review.

Infrared cabin brands

JNH Lifestyles

JNH says it began infrared sauna research and development in 1989, and its Amazon listings cite 35+ years of engineering experience. It’s based in Ontario, California, and its store lists locations in Ontario and Irvine. It sells both on Amazon and direct. Its current range has the far infrared Joyous line, the 170Β°F Joyous+ line, and its own site also lists a Tosi red cedar collection. JNH publishes an EMF figure with its testing source: under 8 mG average for the Joyous+, from Intertek and Vitatech tests. Warranty varies by model: the Joyous+ 2-Person listing says 1-year standard, the original Joyous lists 2 years. We cover JNH in detail: Joyous 2 Person review, Joyous vs Joyous+ and the Freedom range.

Dynamic Saunas

Dynamic Saunas is the infrared line of Golden Designs, Inc., which also operates from Ontario, California, and sells the Maxxus brand as well. Dynamic’s Amazon range includes the Barcelona and Andora (far infrared, 1 to 2 people), the Cordoba (full spectrum), the Madrid (3 people), the Hemming corner model and the cedar Elite 1-Person. Its listings are consistent and clear: most one and two person models plug into a standard 15 amp, 120 volt outlet, assemble in about an hour, and carry a 5-year limited warranty that covers the electronic components but not labor. Read our Dynamic sauna reviews and corner infrared saunas.

Albott

Albott sells compact one-person cabins in spruce and hemlock, a four-person hemlock cabin, outdoor cabins and portable steam tents on Amazon. Its listings give clear sizes and setup times (about 20 minutes for its smallest cabin) and note when a model needs a dedicated outlet, as the 4 Person does. We couldn’t find published company background or a warranty term on the listings we checked, so ask the seller before you buy. Its smallest cabin is in our 1 person sauna guide.

Homsido

Homsido sells hemlock cabins on Amazon, including a 2 Person with phone app control. Its listing states a 5-year warranty on the heating system and wood structure and a US-based support team, but the 2 Person needs a dedicated 20 amp circuit. See it in the best 2 person infrared saunas.

Portable sauna and blanket brands

For tents, Durherm makes a silver head-out tent and SereneLife makes a full-size tent tall enough to stand in; both are in our portable infrared sauna guide. For blankets, Lifepro’s RejuvaWrap lists 9 heat levels, a timer and auto shut-off, and HigherDOSE is the premium name; see the best infrared sauna blankets. For steam tents, see the best portable steam saunas.

How to judge a sauna brand

  • Read the warranty, not the headline. “5 years” can mean electronics only with no labor. Check what’s covered and for how long.
  • Look for numbers you can check. An EMF claim with a figure and a named testing lab means more than “low EMF” alone.
  • Check the power requirement before you fall for a model. Some two-person cabins need a dedicated 20 amp circuit.
  • Prefer listings that agree with themselves. If the title and the details disagree on heater count or size, ask the seller before buying. We leave those listings out.
  • Know who you’re buying from. Brands like JNH sell direct as well as on Amazon, and terms can differ between the two.
