The JNH Lifestyles Joyous+ 1-2 Person (model HH12-L) is JNH’s smallest Joyous+ cabin: a far infrared sauna for one person, or two who don’t mind sitting close. Per its Amazon listing, it heats up to 170°F, has carbon fiber heaters, red light therapy, a white reading lamp and Bluetooth speakers, and measures 39 x 36 x 73 inches outside. It suits someone who wants real cabin heat in a spare room or home gym but doesn’t have the floor space for a full two-person sauna.
We haven’t used this sauna ourselves. This review comes from JNH’s Amazon listing, JNH’s published specifications for the Joyous+ range and the questions buyers ask most. Here is how we review.

Our verdict on the Joyous+ 1-2 Person
This is the Joyous+ build in a smaller box. You get the same 170°F ceiling and red light therapy as the bigger Joyous+ 2-Person, with a published EMF figure on the listing, in a cabin that takes up about 39 x 36 inches of floor. The trade-off is room. One person has space to sit back. Two adults fit, but it’s snug.
Buy it if
- you’ll use it alone most of the time and want proper cabin heat, up to 170°F
- you have about 40 x 37 inches of indoor floor space to spare
- low EMF matters to you and you want a measured figure, not just a label
- you want red light therapy and Bluetooth built in
Skip it if
- two adults will use it together most days (the Joyous+ 2-Person is wider)
- you want the lowest price for a single seat (see the cheaper picks in our 1 person sauna guide)
- you need an outdoor sauna: this one is built for indoor use

What you get with the Joyous+ 1-2 Person
High heat for an infrared cabin
Many plug-in infrared cabins stop somewhere between 130°F and 150°F. The Joyous+ goes up to 170°F, and JNH says the heaters, controls and cabin are designed to hold the temperature you set for the whole session. JNH still recommends 125°F to 150°F for regular use. Infrared warms your body directly, so you’ll sweat at those settings without the hot air of a traditional sauna.
A measured EMF figure
Plenty of saunas say “low EMF” and leave it there. This listing gives numbers: 0.02 mG RMS where you sit and under 2 mG RMS at the cabin’s highest point, near the heater power supply, from independent testing by Vitatech. If you’re comparing heater types as well, our full spectrum vs far infrared guide explains the difference.
Red light, reading lamp and Bluetooth
The listing includes chromotherapy lighting with red light therapy, an optional white reading lamp, LED controls, Bluetooth and built-in speakers. The reading lamp is a small thing that matters in a cabin this size: you can read during a long, moderate session.
Setup and power
It ships as panels and weighs 250 pounds, so plan on two people for the build. JNH says its 1 and 2 person saunas run on a standard 15 amp household outlet with no new wiring. Give it an outlet of its own and plug it straight into the wall.
Pros and cons
Pros
- up to 170°F, hotter than most plug-in infrared cabins
- EMF measured and published, 0.02 mG RMS at the seat
- red light therapy, reading lamp and Bluetooth included
- small footprint, 39 x 36 inches
- runs on a standard household outlet
Cons
- tight for two adults
- sold on Amazon only, not on JNH’s own store
- warranty term isn’t stated on the listing
- costs more than basic one-person cabins

Pick the 1-2 Person if it’s mostly you, or floor space is tight. Pick the 2-Person if two adults will share sessions. If 140°F is enough, the original Joyous 2 Person is the simpler JNH option, and our Joyous vs Joyous+ comparison goes through the differences.
Other one-person saunas to compare
If you’re shopping for a single seat, these one-person cabins are on Amazon too. Details are from each listing’s title.
- Dynamic Saunas Elite 1-Person: Pacific Cedar, red light therapy, ultra low EMF far infrared.
- Real Relax 1 Person: Canadian Hemlock, red light therapy, 9-color chromotherapy, 35.4 x 35.4 x 74.8 inches.
- Homsido 1 Person: Hemlock, 1200W on 110V, LCD control panel.
- Albott 1 Person: spruce, 4 carbon panels, up to 149°F, 27.2 x 31.8 x 60.2 inches. The smallest and cheapest of the group.

JNH Joyous+ 1-2 Person: frequently asked questions
How hot does the JNH Joyous+ 1-2 Person sauna get?
Up to 170°F, per JNH’s Amazon listing. JNH recommends a comfort range of 125°F to 150°F for most sessions, so the top setting is there if you want it rather than where you have to sit.
Can two adults really fit in the Joyous+ 1-2 Person?
JNH says it fits 1 to 2 adults, with an inside floor area of 36 x 32 inches per the listing. Two adults sit shoulder to shoulder. If two of you will use it most days, the Joyous+ 2-Person is about 8 inches wider outside and gives you more elbow room.
How low is the EMF in the Joyous+ 1-2 Person?
JNH’s Amazon listing says independent testing by Vitatech measured 0.02 mG RMS where you sit, and under 2 mG RMS at the highest point in the cabin, near the heater power supply.
Does it need special wiring?
No, according to JNH. It says its 1 and 2 person saunas run on a standard 110V to 120V, 15 amp household outlet. Give it an outlet that isn’t shared with another big load, and plug it straight into the wall rather than using an extension cord.
How much space does it take up?
The cabin measures 39 x 36 x 73 inches outside and weighs 250 pounds, per the Amazon listing. Leave room for the glass door to open, and check your ceiling height before you start the build.
What is the difference between the Joyous+ 1-2 Person and the Joyous+ 2-Person?
Both reach up to 170°F and have red light therapy, a reading lamp and Bluetooth. The 1-2 Person is the smaller cabin at 39 x 36 x 73 inches and 250 pounds. The 2-Person measures 47.3 x 39.5 x 75 inches and weighs 303 pounds, per each Amazon listing.
Where can I buy the Joyous+ 1-2 Person?
On Amazon. When we checked JNH’s own Joyous collection page on 15 October 2026, it listed the Joyous+ 2-Person but not the 1-2 Person, so Amazon is where to find this one.
What warranty comes with it?
The Amazon listing doesn’t state a warranty term, so check the listing and the seller before you order. On JNH’s own store, the Joyous+ 2-Person comes with a 1-year standard warranty, with longer cover sold as an extra.
Should you buy the JNH Joyous+ 1-2 Person?
If it’s mostly you in the sauna and you want 170°F, a published EMF figure and red light in a cabin under 40 inches wide, this is the JNH to get. If two of you will share it, go up to the Joyous+ 2-Person.
